Ooty also known as Udhagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. Altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. An added attraction for the tourists to Udagamandalam is the mountain train journey on a ratchet and pinion track which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam and wends its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels and chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetation, gurgling streams and tea gardens. Used to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days. Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary is 60 kms from Ooty. This 321 sq. km wild sanctuary encompasses a national park. The wildlife includes elephants, tiger, panther, spotted deer, sambar, and the bonnet and macaque. The rich fauna of this sanctuary has made it very popular among wildlife enthusiasts.

DAY 02
Arrival at Mettupalayam railway station at 06:10 hrs, Alight at the station and
board the Nilgiri Passenger Train No. 662, Dep 07:10 hrs and transfer to Ooty. Enjoy
the journey on the World Heritage Mountain Railway. Pick up at 1200 Hrs on arrival
at Ooty Railway Station. Transfer to hotel by road, check in hotel at Ooty Visit
to Ooty lake and Botanical gardens, Overnight stay at Ooty
Morning visit the Film shooting places, Pykara falls and lake, etc Proceed to Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary ** At Mudumalai, Visit Elephant camp, Jungle ride Later transfer back to hotel Overnight halt at Ooty
DAY 04
Morning Check out hotel at Ooty Option – 1: Transfer to Doddabetta
Peak and Tea Museum. Later transfer to Coonoor by road. At Coonoor, Visit Sims Park,
Lambs Rock, and Dolphins Nose Option – 2: Depart to Mettupalayam
via Coonoor and visit Black thunder water Theme Park (Entrance fee on your own)
Later Proceed to Mettupalayam by road Drop at Mettupalayam railway station at 18:00
