Mount Abu situated at a average height of 1,219 mtr's above sea level is the oasis in the deserted land of Rajasthan and posses the honor of being the only hill-station in Rajasthan as well as north-west India, The world famous tourist destination is known for its Delwara Jain temples and natural beauty world over, situated amidst lush green forested hills on the highest peak in the Aravali range is also the summer capital for the Indian state of Rajasthan, home to lakes, waterfalls and green forests, the hill retreat, has a very cool and soothing climate thanks to its rich flora covering the entire hillside that includes coniferous trees and flowering shrubs.
The legend has it that Mount Abu is home to 33 crore Gods and Goddess. According to the legend the name Abu means son of Himalayas (or Ar-Booda, "the hill of wisdom"), deriving its name from Arbuada - the powerful serpent, which rescued Nandi the sacred bull of Lord Shiva.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1Departure from Howrah Railway stations to Ahmedabad by Train 2834 HWH-ADI Exp. on Thursday at 2355 hrs. Overnight journey.
Day 2
Overnight Journey.
Arrive at Ahmedabad at 1325 hrs and drive to Udaipur and on arrival check into the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4
Visit to city palace, Jagdish temple, Sahelion ki badi, lok kala mandal and Pratap
Smarak. Evening visit to Fateh sagar lake. Overnight at Hotel.
Leave after break fast enroute visit at Ranakpur the 14th century Jain temple having 1444 pillars, not one of which is alike in its carving and cupolas surround the five spires. After lunch drive to Mount Abu evening visit to Nakki Lake and sun sent point to view the sunset.
Day 6
Morning visit to Delwara temples, Guru Shikhar and proceed to Ahmedabad. Late evening
departure from Ahmedabad Railway Station at 2355 hrs by train 2833.
Overnight Journey.
Day 8
Arrival Howrah at 1330 hrs.
