29 km from Amirtsar, Wagah border is a ceremonial border between India and Pakistan where each evening, guards from both sides shake hands before closing the gates and lowering the flags. Visit Durgiana temple which is dedicated to Goddess Durga reflects the architecture of Golden temple. The holy Golden temple is a living symbol of spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs. 6th and 13th Sept'08- Change of Boarding Station fromNew Delhi to Sarai Rohilla.
DAY 01(Saturday)
Assemble at New Delhi Rly. Stn at 0645hrs and board Train No.-2029 for Amritsar
(dep.0720hrs/ arr.1315hrs). On arrival at Amritsar, transfer to Hotel and proceed
for Lunch. After lunch proceed for Sightseeing of Wagah border & Durgiana temple.
Evening- return to hotel and Dinner.
Morning proceed for Darshan at Golden Temple .Return to Hotel for Breakfast at hotel and proceed for city sightseeing of Amritsar including Jalian wala Bagh, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Memorial and Art Gallery. Return to hotel for lunch. In time transfer to Amritsar to catch Train to New Delhi, Train No.-2030 (dep.1700hrs/arr.2250).
