Ooty also known as Udhagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. Altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. An added attraction for the tourists to Udagamandalam is the mountain train journey which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam to Ooty. It draws swarms of tourists every year. The weather is quite pleasant at a mean of 15-20 degree C around the year, dropping to lowest of 0 degree C during winter. The landscape is marked by rolling hills covered with dense vegetation, smaller hills and plateaus covered with tea gardens, and eucalyptus trees.

Arrival Chennai Central Railway station at 13:00 hrs.
Check in hotel at Chennai and Half day sight seeing in Chennai city.
Overnight halt at Chennai.
Day 02 Thursday
Check out hotel at Chennai (06:00 hrs).
Proceed to Pondicherry by Road (126 Kms).
Visit Aurobindo ashram, Manakula Vinayakar Temple and Aurovile.
Proceed to Chennai via Mahabalipuram.
Visit - Shore temple.
Drop at Chennai Central at 21:00 hrs to board Train no. 2673 Cheran Express at 22:10
hrs.
Arrival at Coimbatore Jn. railway station at 0610 Hrs.
Transfer to Ooty by road.
On arrival, check in hotel at Ooty.
Proceed to Doddabetta Peak and Tea Museum.
Later proceed back to Ooty Town.
After lunch, visit Ooty Lake & Botanical Gardens.
Overnight stay at Ooty.
Day 04 Saturday
Morning Visit Film Shooting Places, Pykara Falls, Pykara Lake Etc.
Forenoon - Later Proceed to Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary*.
At Mudumalai, Visit Elephant Camp, Jungle Ride.
Later transfer back to hotel in Ooty.
Overnight stay at Ooty.
After breakfast, Check out hotel from Ooty.
Option – 1: Board the Nilgiri Passenger Train by 0900 Hrs and transfer to Coonoor by Train on your own.
Option – 2: Transfer to Coonoor by Road.
Alight at Coonoor - Visit Sims Park, Lambs Rock, and Dolphins Nose.
Later Proceed to Coimbatore by Road.
Transfer to Coimbatore Jn. railway station at 20:00 hrs to board train No. 2674, Cheran Express at 22:15 hrs.
Day 06 Monday
Arrival Chennai Egmore at 06:30 hrs.
Check-in Hotel at Chennai for Wash and Change only.
Half day sight seeing or shopping.
Drop at Chennai Central Railway station at 13:00 hrs.
